How it works

Navigate was designed to allow vessel operators to manage the paperwork and systems required to ensure that their vessel:

  • Maintains its current survey status
  • Has current safety equipment
  • Has an established maintenance plan
  • Complies with all Crew Certification requirements
  • Health & Safety issues and meetings are recorded


Navigate acts as a ‘live’ database of a vessel’s records. Should an operator wish, regulatory authorities can be given access to their vessel’s records, ideally reducing the costs and enhancing the efficiency of the audit process.

  • How much does Navigate cost?

  • Can I have multiple vessels?

    Of course. Navigate is designed to handle any sized fleet, from 1 vessel to 100.

  • How and where is the Navigate information stored?

    All sensitive data, including files, are served to and from your browser are stored encrypted at rest in our databases and servers located in Auckland. The data center has 24/7 on site security and concrete floors, walls and ceilings.

  • What level of security is in place?

    The data centre where Navigate is hosted is amongst the most secure you’ll find. In terms of compliance, it has been designed and managed in alignment with regulations, standards, and best-practices. Our databases are backed up daily and can be fully restored in the event of any data loss.

  • Are there any privacy issues?

    The only people who have access to your boats will be the holder of the individual email address and password (you or your staff) and Navigate admin as the system administrator.

  • Is there roadmap of future features?

    The system will continue to be developed to cope with the ever-changing nautical world.

  • Can I retrieve any deleted documents?

    Care does need to be taken around deleting documents. While our system is backed up daily and can be fully restored in the event of any data loss, it will require technical support to retrieve these files.
